Hi! I’m Jill Ulett, founder of Accounting Girl, LLC. I have almost 30 years of legal accounting experience, and I specialize in working with business owners—not corporations. In addition to holding a degree in accounting, I’m also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (ie; therapist) and a certified business coach. This unique combination allows me to approach financial management with both analytical precision and a deep understanding of human behavior—an invaluable asset when helping law firm owners navigate complex business decisions.
Early in my career, I worked at a law firm and quickly discovered a deep passion for IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts) management - something about the systems and process of it fed my organizational brain, and from that moment, I knew legal accounting was my true calling. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to serving law firms with a level of care, insight, and expertise that’s hard to find elsewhere.
When not appreciating the capers of my teen superheroes-in-training, I enjoy knitting, reading, logic puzzles and creative bullet journaling. Some of my non-accounting superpowers include: analyzing intricate knitting patterns, defeating various iPad games, and finding song lyrics to enhance conversations - don’t worry though, I won’t deliver your financial reports in song! My husband, Eliot, is a freelance audio/video editor and designed this website!
